Initial Consultation:

When Colin decided to launch The Garden Elf after being made redundant and moving to a new area where he knew no one and had no potential customers we had to create a marketing strategy and some quick results! After an initial consultation we decided to launch a basic website which we would later develop further and create a social media campaign to drive traffic to his new Facebook business page and the website.

Budgets:

As you can imagine marketing funds were limited at first but with some careful budgeting and planning we were able to go from no customers to equaling his previous income within only a matter of weeks.  As the majority of his customers would be be individuals or families and not mainly businesses we decided to use Facebook as the primary social media platform (with other platforms introduced later). A carefully targeted campaign based on geographical area, and the target customers demographics was created.

Other Recommended Activity:

We also encouraged him to share his business page and invite all his friends and family to like the business page regardless of location. Those that had experience or knowledge of his gardening and estate management skills were asked to write recommendations/testimonials and we started to create posts and share images on the page to provide a taste of his services.

Other activity included becoming active in local community groups and ensuring we were available when people were looking for gardeners and recommendations.

Current Marketing Activity:

This all happened over two years ago now and Colin has a healthy waiting list now, is looking at taking on staff and has increased his charges by 25%. In addition to the business success his marketing is now on a management package with regular posts, photos, news updates as required to the business page and he is currently having a new updated website created which is including a client portfolio gallery, testimonials gallery and much more.

Results:

Garden Elf now gets the majority of its new customers from Facebook recommendations from his current customers tagging him in posts and traffic to his website from search results on Google!
